Last summer I wove a pair of leg wraps in a color combination that particularly appeals to me, blue and orange, and, recently, I took the time to wet-finish the cloth and hand finish the ends. This is the result.
Fiber is Jaggerspun 2/8 Maine Line 100% wool in Williamsburg Blue (weft) and Copper (warp). Sett is 20 ends per inch. I used the same broken diamond twill draft as the blue and yellow pair made in the spring.
I think a sett of 20 ends per inch is perfect for wider cloth. On the next pair, I’ll try increasing the sett to 22 ends to see if it results in a more balanced end product. That’s just a small tweak. I really love the way these turned out and I’m so happy that they are going to a good friend to be enjoyed and worn.
Those are fantastic!
It’s a long shot, but how much would you charge for a pair of these?
