Magyar kaftan inspiration fabric translation

September 14, 2011

Last night, a friend brought her big brain over to my house and applied it to translating the German text in Die Graber der Moscevaja Balka edited by  Anna A. lerusalimskaja .  It was too much to translate all at once. She said she will give me the next part later.

Here is what she has given me so far as it relates to the inspiration fabric for the Magyar kaftan:

    Огромное спасибо за Вашу работу!!!
Я давно пытаюсь реконструировать облик мадьярского воина, но только благодаря Вашей работе дело сдвинулось вперёд.
Ещё раз спасибо. С нетерпением буду ждать продолжения темы по одежде мадьяр эпохи обретения Родины.

    Dear Sir,

Recently I have sent you a message in Hungarian.
One of my friends tries to reconstruct Hungarian warrior`s clothes and man`s hat and kaftan are the objects of his interest. Regretfully, he has not found information on these things.

We therefore would be extremely grateful for your sound advice.

I have failed in finding information on you, so I can`t imagine if you live in Hungary or elsewhere. Should I use English or Hungarian in our contact?

Thank you very much for your kind attention in advance.

    Yours sincerely,

    Mikhail Korzinkin

      Hi Mikhail.

Thanks for writing to me. I speak English only. I am planning to write more on Magyar warrior clothing in upcoming articles.
